ChatGPT Dot can now be texted over iMessage, and OpenAI doubled Pro plan usage limits
OpenAI is rolling out texting for ChatGPT Dot over iMessage on iPhone and RCS on Android, starting as a beta for ChatGPT Pro users in the US. Separately, OpenAI doubled usage limits on the $100, $200 and $500 ChatGPT Pro plans and Business Premium, and dropped a planned cut to Pro 200 limits.
A video about the changes went from 45,197 to 63,569 views in 9 hours - about 11 times the typical pace of other AI-tool videos SteadyVane tracks on YouTube. It has 680 likes and 85 comments, and was published about 24 hours ago.
Why it matters: If you pay for a Pro tier, the higher limits are the part that touches your work. The reported gain is mainly for ChatGPT Work and Codex, which share allowances, while Plus limits are unchanged.
